This is an English translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of Alimi (알리미) (the “Company”) and users in connection with the use of the DoNow service (the “Service”) provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • “User” means members and non-members who use the Service under these Terms.
  • “Member” means a person who logs in with a Google account to use the Service.
  • “Memo” means all material, such as text, links and images, that a user enters or saves in the Service.
  • “Sync” means the feature that encrypts memos, saves them to the user’s own Google Drive, and lets the user continue on multiple devices.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

The Company posts these Terms on the Service screen. The Company may amend the Terms to the extent it does not violate applicable laws, and will give notice through the Service screen from 7 days before the amendment applies (30 days before for changes unfavorable to users). If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, the user may stop using the Service and withdraw.

Article 4 (Formation of the Service Agreement)

A non-member forms a service agreement by agreeing to these Terms and using the Service. Sign-up is completed when the user agrees to the Terms and the Privacy Policy and logs in with a Google account. Persons under 14 cannot sign up as members.

Article 5 (Content of the Service)

  • Saving memos, links and images, automatic classification, search, and linking related memos
  • Encrypted sync across devices (members)
  • Other features the Company additionally develops or provides

The Company provides the Service free of charge and may provide some features for a fee. The content and prices of paid services are announced separately on the Pricing page, and refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

Article 6 (Storage of Memos and User Responsibility)

  • Memos are saved first on the user’s device (browser storage). If you delete browser data or lose the device while not using sync, the memos cannot be restored.
  • Sync data is encrypted with a key protected by a password the user chooses, and the Company cannot know this password or key. If the user loses both the password and the recovery key, the Company also cannot recover the sync data.
  • The user is responsible for the content of memos and their management. The Company does not view users’ memo content.

Article 7 (Obligations of Users)

Users must not do any of the following.

  • Using another person’s account or using the Service by improper means
  • Interfering with the normal operation of the Service or placing excessive load on the servers
  • Using the Service for purposes contrary to law or public order
  • Copying or reselling the Service for commercial purposes without the Company’s prior consent

Article 8 (Changes to and Suspension of the Service)

The Company may change part of the Service as operationally or technically necessary, and will give prior notice of important changes. The Service may be suspended temporarily for unavoidable reasons such as facility maintenance, failures or natural disasters. If the Service is discontinued, the Company will give 30 days’ notice and will let users export the memos stored on their devices.

Article 9 (Withdrawal)

A member may withdraw at any time from the settings screen, and withdrawal is processed immediately. On withdrawal, the member information and sync-related information on the Company’s servers, the sync files stored in the app-only space of the user’s Google Drive, and the memos and settings stored on the device from which the user withdrew are all deleted automatically, and the Service’s access to the Google account is revoked. Deleted information cannot be recovered.

Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)

  • The Company is not liable for damage caused by reasons beyond its control, such as natural disasters, problems with the user’s device or browser, or failures of external services such as Google.
  • The Company is not liable if memos are lost due to reasons attributable to the user (lost password, deleted browser data, etc.).
  • However, the Company is liable under applicable laws for damage caused by its willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 11 (Dispute Resolution)

If a dispute arises in connection with use of the Service, the Company and the user will resolve it through good-faith consultation. If it cannot be resolved by consultation, either may bring suit in the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act (「민사소송법」), and these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Addendum
